Check out mykitchencafe.blogspot.com She has some great family-friendly recipes, and her extra comments on how to prepare it have saved my dish more than once! :~D
Take a pork butt (or pork shoulder or other pork roast) and put it in your crockpot. Add a big can of green enchillada sauce (make sure the meat is all covered by the sauce). Cook it on low 6-8 hours (I let it go all day while I'm at work, 10-11 hours). Serve over white rice with a side of refried beans, and you have the easiest chili verde ever!
Easy baked spagetti! Cook spagetti and drain. Add one can of spagetti sauce with a can of cream of mushroom. Mix into spagetti. Top with cheese and bake at 350 for 35 minutes. This is the easiest recipe I can come up with at the top of my head. BTW: Due date is July 21 (Glens b-day).
I just make up a buisquick batch, and let the kids roll their own little ball out really flat onto a stone or pan. I cook it for like 6 minutes so that it is crispy...then I open a saweet jar of spaghetti sauce, or make my own, and add toppings...Twa-la!! Easy!! OOOOhhh...and if you wanna sneak in some nutrition...spinach. Put it after the sauce before the cheese...my kids gobble it up!!
hmmm...might wanna add the fact that I actually cook the pizza after I add the toppings...LOL!!! I just do it for like 10 minutes, or until "golden brown"....!!!
My family absolutely LOVES this casserole recipe I got off a friend's blog http://foodforthought10.blogspot.com/2008/02/chicken-broccoli-casserole.html

I have been driven many times upon my knees with the overwhelming conviction I had nowhere else to go.-Abraham Lincoln
"To you who are parents, I say, show love to your children. You know you love them, but make certain they know it as well. They are so precious. Let them know. Call upon our Heavenly Father for help as you care for their needs each day and as you deal with the challenges which inevitably come with parenthood. You need more than your own wisdom in rearing them." — Thomas S. Monson
Red Shirt Fridays!
Remember red shirt Fridays to support our troops...If you aren't willing to stand behind our troops...are you willing to stand in front of them?!?!
They Said What???
12/25/09 Cayson: MOM!! Don't wash that glass...it has Santa's DNA on it!!
1/2/09 Jaxson: Mom, why can't we have new sunglasses? Me: We have to save our money for our trip to Disneyland! Jaxson: Is that where Mickey Mouse is? Me: Yep...is that who you want to see? Jaxson: Nope... Me: Who DO you want to see there? Jaxson: Grandma and Grandpa! (They're looking forward to it, too, Jax!)
12/08 Cayson tried really hard... Cayson: Mom...can we have pizza for dinner? Me: No, son...I'm making tacos Cayson: Yuk! How much does pizza cost? Me (trying to think of a high number): $40.00 Cayson: Is that a zero then a four? Me: No...that's a four then a zero. Cayson: How much money do you have? Me: Zero. Cayson: Great! Then all I need to find is Four! Why can't he be in charge of the world's money?
11/27/08 Eric was running a quick errand and all the kids wanted to go with...long story short...he said no...Deni didn't like that at all... Deni (while hugging Eric's leg): The one that gives you a hug gets to go...Yay...I win!
11/8/08 Hailey and I were watching "Sleeping Beauty" this is how it all played out: Hailey: "Fauna is my favorite good fairy because she is green...who is your favorite, mom?" Me: "I like Merriweather" Hailey: "But she is so grouchy...nevermind...that makes sense!" Thanks a lot!
11/6/08 Jaxson & Deni's teacher gave us 2 TV/VCR combos and after we picked them up today, Jaxson said, "Mom...did Teacher Susan get those for the kids or for the humans?" Oh, Jaxson...there are days...
10/24/08 The kids and I decided to make muffins (Chocolate Chip and Almond Poppyseed-Yum!) After filling the muffin cups, I let the kids lick the bowls clean...Cayson said..."Mom...you could go to Heaven for this!" If only it were that easy!
10/23/08
Deni passed gas in the van & Jaxson was sitting next to her...here's how the conversation went:
Jaxson:Deni, you are a gas-bag...what do you say?
Deni: "You're Welcome!"

There is a new movie on Disney Channel called 'Mostly Ghostly'. So Jaxson just came in while I was checking my email and said, "Mom...could you please turn on Holy Ghostly, please?!?"
10/10/08 Deni sure did try hard....here's the play-by-play: (on our way back from Mobius-a fun "they don't know it's science" place for the kids to play) Deni: "Daddy...are we going home or to the park?" Eric: What do you think, Deni? Deni: "The park...that is what I thought!" Eric: "In your dreams!" Deni: "What you said? We need to get a drink and then we go to the park?" Eric: "No! We are going home...not to the park!" Deni: "Sorry, Jaxson...I tried!" Jaxson: "Don't drag me around...this is your fault, Deni!"

Cayson (6) and Eric saw a Corvette in the parking lot...here's how the conversation played out...
Eric: Wow! Cayson...look at that cool car!
Cayson: I don't want one of those cars, dad...it's for girls!
Eric: What do you mean it's for girls?!?!
Cayson: Dad, it's the one like Barbie drives!
My poor son...
7/17/08 9-ish pm
Deni: Where is Daddy?
Me: At Work
Deni: At the hospital?
Me: No...Right now he is at Horizon Medical Institute (the school we own)
Deni: "Toot"...we don't toot...we fart!
All of the kids think it is the funniest thing that Eric has "toot" in the title of his school...hahaha

Deni is named after Tiphaine's dad (Denny). One day Deni was arguing with Gpa about who was named Deni (or Denny)...Here's how it went:
Deni: My name is Deni
Gpa: My name is Denny
Deni: No...you name is Grandpa
Gpa: My name is Denny
Deni: Okay...you are Denny
Gpa: And you are Deni
Deni: No...I Grandpa!
